Basic Function and
Scope of Responsibilities:
The Tilles Center
Fire Watch is required to act as fire lookout when atmospheric stage effects
require the alteration of the fire alarm system. This is for select
events only as needed.
Responsibilities:
Fire Watch is to
work with LIU Post Electricians and Public Safety as well as other Fire Watch
to patrol the venue for any fire during events with the public present and the
Fire Alarm system altered.
Education
Requirements:
High School Diploma
or Equivalent. Prefer Fire Academy graduate.
Qualification
Requirements:
Current active
member in good standing of a local fire department.
Working Conditions:
Generally indoors,
in the theaters, auditoriums and backstage spaces at Tilles Center. Some
outdoor patrol and access to exterior fire alarm panels.
