Job Description

Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities:
The Student Equipment Room Assistant supports the Athletic Equipment Department by assisting with laundry operations, organizing and distributing uniforms and equipment.

Duties and Principal Responsibilities:
The Student Equipment Room Assistant supports the daily operations of the Athletic Equipment Department by assisting with laundry services, equipment and uniform distribution, inventory management, and maintaining a clean and organized equipment room.

Education Requirements:
LIU student enrolled in an active degree program.

Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience:
Rate of Pay:  NYS Minimum Hourly Rate
Period of employmentBegin:  08/01/2026                End:  06/30/2027

Evaluation procedures and schedules:  Performance will be evaluated by the equipment manager based on attendance, punctuality, reliability, professionalism, initiative, teamwork, and successful completion of assigned game-day responsibilities.  This position works a flexible schedule based on athletic event needs, with a maximum of 17 hours per week.
