Job Description

Position Summary

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Admissions and the Dean of the Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, this position leads all recruitment and admissions efforts for the College. The role is responsible for developing and implementing strategic recruitment initiatives, building and maintaining partnerships with feeder schools and organizations, guiding prospective students through the admissions process, and ensuring enrollment goals are achieved. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, relationship-driven professional with strong communication, analytical, and customer service skills who can effectively represent the College in local and national recruitment markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing the recruitment and admission of all students into the Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. 
  • Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies, initiatives, and partnerships with feeder schools to attract prospective students. 
  • Maintain and strengthen existing relationships with feeder schools. 
  • Review candidate applications, transcripts, and supplemental materials to prepare admissions files for review. 
  • Create, review, and update recruitment tools as necessary. 
  •  Organize and host events (in-person or virtual) for prospective students. 
  • Establish and maintain recruitment schedules and events for local and national markets. 
  • Serve as an admissions liaison to various high schools and recruitment organizations. 
  • Timely communication with all prospective inquiries and applicants. 
  • Coordinate and host admissions interviews. 
  • Provide guidance to all candidates through the stages of application, decision, deposit, matriculation, and ensure all admissions requirements have been satisfied. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in Admissions in a Higher Education Institution preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, communication (both written and verbal) and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency with computers (MS Office and/or Mac products, Including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook and/or Pages, Keynote, and Numbers) including running reports, spreadsheets and mail merges
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluation and making decisions, ability to function in a detailed oriented, time-sensitive environment
  • Ability to work independently and travel to recruiting and other outreach events
