Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Creative Direction & Design Excellence
- Design the
creative direction and execution of major University marketing campaigns
and initiatives.
- Champion and
evolve the LIU brand while maintaining consistency across all
communications.
- Develop
original concepts, visual identities, and campaign strategies that support
institutional goals.
- Present
creative solutions and recommendations to University leadership and
stakeholders.
- Maintain high
standards of design excellence across all marketing materials.
Design & Content Development
- Design and
produce creative assets for print, digital, social media, advertising,
publications, presentations, and events.
- Lead the design
of admissions materials, donor communications, athletics promotions,
institutional campaigns, and flagship publications.
- Art direct
photography, video, illustration, and multimedia content to ensure
alignment with brand standards and campaign objectives.
- Support the visual design of major University events
- Partner with
colleagues across marketing, web, content, social media, photography, and
video to develop integrated, multi-channel campaigns.
- Create
audience-focused marketing solutions that drive enrollment, fundraising,
engagement, and brand visibility.
- Stay current on
design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing
communications.
Brand Licensing & Vendor Relations
- Review
licensing requests and ensure compliance with University brand standards.
- Manage
relationships with printers, merchandise vendors, and creative partners to
ensure quality and consistency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's
degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, Fine Arts, or
a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of
professional experience in graphic design, creative direction, brand
management, or marketing communications.
- Experience in
higher education, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations preferred.
- Demonstrated
success leading creative projects from concept through execution across
multiple platforms.
- Strong
portfolio showcasing branding, campaign development, publication design,
visual storytelling, and integrated marketing communications.
