Position Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to directives of Uniondale UFSD and deploy resources accordingly
- Ensure all work of the Mental Health Service Professional Demonstration Grant Program is in alignment with grant deliverables and Uniondale UFSD priorities
- Oversee the recruitment of prospective School of Psychology candidates
- Train and provide professional development to increase the delivery of early intervention and intensive mental health supports to district personnel using evidence-based strategies within the field of School Psychology
- Oversee, in conjunction with the P.I., the partnering LEAs in the consortium
- Participate in regional needs assessment and planning in collaboration with Uniondale UFSD and partnering LEAs
- Conduct needs assessments with identified districts to determine specialist deployment and better understand district mental health needs
Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience:
- Expertise in evidence-based mental health services
- Spanish speaking
- Extensive knowledge of research-based interventions, instruction, and learning strategies
- Experience providing training, coaching, professional development, and/or technical assistance
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills that support interacting with families and school/agency personnel
Education Requirements:
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in School Psychology; Doctorate preferred
Working Conditions:
- Typical office setting with privacy; requires regular travel to various locations throughout Long Island and occasional evening and weekend hours
- Computer, copier, scanner, wireless access, phone, and fax
