Purpose or role of the position within the organization (Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities):
Conduct Research on Equine Genomics of Failure of Passive Transfer utilizing whole genome sequence data
Duties and Principal Responsibilities:
Conduct whole genome association analysis and investigation of candidate regions associated with equine failure of passive transfer in a cohort of Tennessee Walking Horses
Education Requirements: LIU student enrolled in an active degree program
Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience: Second Year of DVM Program, preference for students with experience in scientific methodology and writing
Rate of Pay: minimum hourly rate: $17 per hour
Period of employment: Begin Date: 6/1/2026 End Date: 2026
