Purpose or role of the position within the organization (Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities):
Assist in research activities of gross anatomy, micro anatomy and medical imaging study of normal and pathological tissue samples, with a focus on (but not limited to) the cardiovascular system
Duties and Principal Responsibilities:
Work tasks include: medical imaging processing, cadaver dissection and sampling, histological slides evaluation, imaging samples delivery to and pick up from imaging center, research data collection, entry and summarization.
Education Requirements: LIU student enrolled in an active degree program
Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience: Training in tasks listed above will be offered as needed. Prior experience these areas is desired but not mandatory. Basic skills in Windows PC operation necessary.
Rate of Pay: minimum hourly rate: $17 per hour
