The Roosevelt School at Long Island University invites applications for Adjunct Professor positions in International Relations & Diplomacy.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching and the ability to connect theory to practice in global affairs. Adjunct faculty may teach undergraduate and graduate courses in areas such as international relations theory, global security, diplomacy, international organizations, foreign policy, human rights, global public health, and related subjects.
Required Qualifications
• Master’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Diplomacy, Public Policy, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated professional or academic expertise in international affairs
• Ability to teach effectively at the college level
• Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Ph.D. or terminal degree in a related field
• Professional experience in government, international organizations, diplomacy, public administration, or non-profit leadership
• Experience with experiential learning, policy simulations, or diplomatic negotiation exercises
• Prior college-level teaching experience • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive and equitable teaching practices
