Job Description

Job Title: Undergraduate Research & Mentorship Coordinator 
Full/Part Time: Student worker 
FLSA Classification: Non- Exempt 
Location: Long Island University Brooklyn (LIU) 
Reports To: Dr. Robin Elliott, Director of Academy of Research Scholars 
Position availability: Immediately 
Rate of pay: $17 FWS 
Student Activities: Fund 10000 

Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities: 
Essential Functions 
• Collaborates with faculty/staff/students to build a community of practice and mentorship program 
• Coaches and/or mentors students using a range of strategies to build efficacy and competency mentors/mentees 
• Assist in the execution of events and programming, including workshops, seminars, guest lectures, and university events 
• Collaborate with Network with Project Director, faculty, staff and students to develop and enhance undergraduate research and programming 

 Education Requirements: 
• Active student at LIU 

Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience: 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills 
• High energy and enthusiasm to work with faculty/staff/industry leaders/ peers 
• Actively involved in current trends in research development 
• Strong Interpersonal communication skills 

Working Conditions: 
On Campus, flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, may be required to execute the position’s role

 Computer, fax machine, copier, phone.
