Position Summary:
Long Island University, Post Campus, Social Work Program (BS) invites applications for a fulltime faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The primary
assignment will be to the BSSW Program.
LIU also has a graduate MSW Program at Post (the MSW Collaborative Program). The
successful candidate may be interested in teaching across the curriculum in the BSSW
Program and/or across the BSSW and MSW programs. The candidate will need
to be able to work with individuals and communities of diverse ethnic, cultural, and
religious backgrounds.
Qualifications
Required:
- MSW degree from a CSWE accredited college/university, with at least three years
postgraduate practice experience
- PhD/DSW in social work or a related field
- Demonstrated teaching excellence at the undergraduate and/or graduate level
- Familiarity with virtual learning environments and course management systems
(hybrid/blended teaching) and/or willingness to train
- Ability to conduct fundable research and publish
