Purpose or role of the position within the organization (Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities):  

 Provide support to staff in the Student Finance Office, including filing and document processing tasks, while

maintaining confidentiality

Duties and Principal Responsibilities:

 Assist with document processing, including organizing, filing, scanning, and shredding documents related to student finance and financial aid. Assist with review of website

pages related to Student Finance and Financial aid to ensure information is up to date and edits to pages are made in a timely manner. 

Other duties as assigned.

 

Education Requirements: LIU student enrolled in an active degree program. Students must be eligible for Federal Work Study through the submission of a 2025-26 FAFSA and enrolled in at least 12 credits at the LIU Post campus.

Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience:

Rate of Pay: minimum hourly rate $17.00 HR

Period of employment: Begin Date: 1/2026 End Date: 5/2026

Evaluation procedures and schedulesThe Student Finance office is typically open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Hours are flexible based on student needs but schedule should be consistent each week. Reliable transportation required as this location is not on the main LIU Post campus
