Description: Student Employee – POST CAMPUS TUTORS in THE LEARNING CENTER for College of Veterinarian courses Fall 2025 – Spring 2026.
Tutors MUST be referred by Dr. Brendan Caputo and interviewed by Marie Fatscher BEFORE applying for the position.

Purpose or role of the position within the organization (Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities):
Tutoring for 1st year DVM courses: Veterinary Anatomy I, Physiology I, Histology, Immunology, Animal Welfare and Behavior, Anatomy II, Physiology II, Animal Nutrition, General Pathology.
Tutoring for 2nd year DVM courses: Systemic Pathology I, Intro to Pharmacology, Veterinary Bacteriology & Mycology, Systemic Pathology II, Epidemiology, Pharmacology, Public Health and Food Safety.
Duties and Principal Responsibilities:
Work up to 12 hours per week in The Learning Center – located on the main floor of the Library.
Education Requirements: LIU student enrolled in an active degree program,
Must have 3.2 gpa and faculty or department chair recommendation for the courses you want to tutor

Rate of Pay: minimum hourly rate $17 HR
