Purpose or role of the position within the organization (Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities):
Support the daily operations of Gold Coast Creamery. Prepare and serve ice cream and related products, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards. Ambassadors will assist with the planning and execution of in-store events.
Duties and Principal Responsibilities:
Provide outstanding customer service. Prepare ice cream, shakes, sundaes and other menu items.
Operate POS system, handle cash and card transactions and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment by following health and safety guidelines, cleaning equipment, and restocking supplies. Assist in opening/clolsing duites.
Education Requirements: LIU student enrolled in an active degree program
Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience: Experience in the food industry is a plus, but not necessary
Rate of Pay: minimum hourly rate $17 HR
Period of employment: Begin Date: End Date: 6/1//2026
Evaluation procedures and schedules: Sunday - Thursday 3pm - 9pm and Friday 12pm -4pm. FWS students are allowed to work 17 hours per academic week.
