Purpose or role of the position within the organization (Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities):
STUDENT WORKER PROGRAM ASSISTANT PHD PSYCHOLOGY
Duties and Principal Responsibilities:
Assist in development and implementation of PhD Program activities and initiatives, including: o PhD Program Admissions o PhD Program Accreditation o PhD Program Research Coordination o PhD Program Administration o PhD Program PEC (Psychology Experience Credits) • Assist in development and implementation of program surveys. • Assist in coordination and organization of PhD admissions.
Assist in creation of multiple databases related to APA accreditation. • Assist faculty and program leadership in multiple administrative aspects of the APA self-study.
Assist faculty and doctoral students in research activities and initiatives, including extramural funding proposals. • Assist faculty and administrators in maintaining extensive program databases
Education Requirements: LIU student enrolled in an active degree program
Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience: MA degree in clinical psychology or equivalent; ideal candidate is enrolled in doctoral study in clinical psychology
Rate of Pay: minimum hourly rate $17 HR
Period of employment: Begin Date: 9/2026 End Date: 5/2027
Evaluation procedures and schedules: HOURS PER WEEK: variable; WEEKS PER ACADEMIC YEAR: 40, 6 positions
