Purpose or role of the position within the organization (Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities):  

STUDENT WORKER TEACHING ASSISTANT PHD PSYCHOLOGY

 

Duties and Principal Responsibilities:

Conduct independent sessions weekly. Provide experiential activities in sessions that illustrate various principles of the material taught. Provide assignments that enhance doctoral students’ knowledge Meet with individual students to establish competency in meeting profession standards. Assist instructor connected with the PhD course in class activities and laboratory exercises.  Provide support for PhD students enrolled in the course

 

 

Education Requirements: LIU student enrolled in an active degree program

Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience: MA degree in clinical psychology or equivalent; extensive experience with doctoral level courses; ideal candidate is enrolled in doctoral study in clinical psychology

Rate of Pay: minimum hourly rate $17 HR

Period of employment: Begin Date:  End Date: 5/15/2027

Evaluation procedures and schedules: 13 total across both semesters (note that some courses are 1 semester, and some courses are 2 semesters
