Purpose or role of the position within the organization (Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities):
Duties and Principal Responsibilities:
● Ensure the fitness area and concession stand remains clean & organized.
● Adhere to Campus Recreation University policies.
●
Actively supervise the fitness center and concession stand.
● Act in a professional manner by upholding LIU Policy when involved in
conflict management with patrons, students, & staff.
● Perform opening/closing procedures of the fitness room and concession
stand.
● Display a positive and enthusiastic attitude for all patrons
Education Requirements: LIU student enrolled in an active degree program
Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience:
Rate of Pay: minimum hourly rate
Period of employment: Begin Date: 8 / 1 1 / 2 0 2 5 End Date: Summer 2026
Evaluation procedures and schedules:
● Flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, are required to
execute the position’s role responsibly.
● Occasional travel to/from other LIU campuses for the facilitation of
trainings, meetings and other university functions.
