Supervisor: Name:  Matthew Misiano

Purpose or role of the position within the organization (Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities):  

Assisting students and faculty with live sound and lighting needs, oversee theater use,and maintain operations during events and other bookings the space.


Duties and Principal Responsibilities:

Provide support for both sound and lighting, including audio mixing, DMX programming, and stage set ups.

Assist clientele who have booked the space to ensure appointments are seamless and needs are met.

Facilitate theater use for ongoing classes, workshops, events and recitals/showcases with instructors. Ensure both students and faculty are within theater guidelines and etiquette.

 

Education Requirements: LIU student enrolled in an active degree program

Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience:

Rate of Pay: minimum hourly rate $17 HR

Period of employment: Begin Date:  2026  End Date: 5/31/2026

Evaluation procedures and schedules: In leui of cover letter- please upload course/relevant experience

Must be available between 7/28 & 8/1 for interview via zoom

Must be available for 8/21 or 9/5 for training
