Job Description

Title: Federal Student Worker Position 
Name: Communications Assistant 
Department: Athletics (Post) 
Name and Address: Long Island University, 720 Northern Blvd., Brookville, NY, 11548 Campus: LIU Post 
Student Supervisor: Associate Athletic Director, Strategic Communications 
Salary: $17/hr 
FLSA: Exempt 
Starting Date: As soon as possible 
Ending Date: End of Fall/Spring Semester 

Description of Job: 
Working with the Athletic Communications department to support the media relations and social media for specific athletic programs. Assisting student-athletes and coaches in coordination of interviews for external media or LIU-owned and operated channels. Working with the Athletic Communications group to submit for player awards and all-league teams in your respective sport. Execute various administrative tasks and general office duties for department staff and head coaches as assigned. 

Job Candidates must have strength in: 
• Communications 
• Writing and Editorial 
• Social Media/Graphic Design 
• Photography/Videography
