Purpose or role of the position within the organization (Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities):  Student Tutor

Duties and Principal Responsibilities:

Work with Department Chairperson to provide tutoring and support to nursing students in a one on one or small group setting.

Education Requirements: LIU student enrolled in an active degree program.  Must be a Nursing Student, Senior Year.

Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience: Academic Strength required in Pharmacology, Pathophysiology and Fundamentals.

Rate of Pay: minimum hourly rate $20 HR

Period of employment: Begin Date: 2026 End Date: TBD

Evaluation procedures and schedules: Guidance and support provided to FWS Tutor by the Department Chair. Schedule to be set up by the student typically 2 days a week approximately 7-8-hours a week.
