Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities:
- Preparation, set up and clean jobs of chemical laboratory.
- Assistance of lab instructor and students during lab class.
- Handle and disposal chemical waste.
Duties and Principal Responsibilities:- Preparation, set up, clean up of chemicals, equipment and glassware for use in lab classes.
- Management of the collection and storage of chemical waste generated during lab classes.
- Preparation of unknown samples for student analysis.
- Assisting lab instructor and lab students during lab classes.
Education Requirements: LIU student enrolled in an active degree program
Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience:
- Develop specialized skills in the proper preparation of chemicals and other lab instruments.
- the use of appropriate PPE and lab safety equipment.
Rate of Pay: minimum hourly rate
